so i've decided to extend my stay in melb for a bit (to all who have been trying to convince me/praying i'd extend: yes you win haha). flying off next thursday, which gives you guys an additional 3 days to grab slots! =P highest bidder wins! (haha no, i'm kidding.)
miracle of miracles, i managed to pack everything before the movers came. thank God for efficiency and energy, coz i swear after that, i was so tired i didn't know what i was doing.
and something tells me i won't be able to stay up long for tonight's DVD marathon. ><
PS: i get a confirmed 6 visitors in singapore end of this year! whoohoo! go me! and maybe an additional two more (if my younger brother manages to get cheap flights, and if the fella who is still trying to decide which way his scales tip concludes that i'm more important than his malaysian friends muahahhaa. i promise i will not gang up with ven xhin against you anymore if you come visit. =D) oh, and i get selena and her lychee martini all to myself for one month too. things are looking up! =)

7 hours more before the flight i'm dreading. back to the place where i have to do what i'm dreading. if only goodbyes could be made easier.
but at least for the first time in my life, i'm gonna enter australia with no checked in baggage. whee so fun!
trying to console myself with the fact i'll still see these wonderful people around. ok, maybe not the few who are stuck in australia for the time being, but those who luckily for them are still enjoying the "student" label and who would be back in asia over the holidays.
and i see i already have a good few visitors the end of this year. =) working very hard on convincing my younger brother to come, alongside a few others whom i have 6 days to persuade (though like nick said, one would probably go "but i only have 4 weeks and it's not enough time!!" because he didn't seem to have enough time when he had a 3 month break anyway =P).

n even more sian.. its monday!! start of another week. since ting will be back in aussie for about a week, shopping will stop for 1 week. haha.. (hopefully. really need to save up liao). oh ya, i saw a top which i kinda like in esprit jus now. should i buy should i buy?? shan's rating: 6/10, ting's: 6.5/10, mei's 7/10, augus': 0/10 (though he never even seen it.. cos he dun wanna me to buy haha) its SGD70. feel like buying it and wear it to japan. haha ok la.. kua zhang.. but after tt i will wear to work! maybe i shall show it to jol. if ting is reading this, i think probably she's gonna tell me to jus get it. since i keep thinking of it. but come to think of it, most likely i will get it la.. if im reminded of it again. out of sight, out of mind!

went for e fireworks festival on sat. ok la.. not tt we bought tix.. we jus went somewhere to take pics of fireworks. there were augus, ting, jon, keong and me. but ting and jon din stay with us until e fireworks started cos ting din have a tripod :(
anyway.. augus bought a new toy (lens)! 11-16mm. haha.. v wide sia.. e ends are abit fish-eye..

actually zijian and shuting came to look for us and we all watched e fireworks together. after e fireworks, we were thinking of where to head to... as we tot it would be damn crowded around marina square and city hall area, we decided to head towards chinatown. zijian brought us to this eating place that is near outram mrt station. e food is good! ordered zi char and shared. nice man, next time bring u all there!

i'm looking for international movers for help in moving my stuff from melbourne back to singapore and i'm just about dying. the quotations are so ridiculous! one company said they charge AUD600 for door to door services, or AUD300 for door to changi airport. it's like what? i don't need a ridiculous 300bucks to move things from the stupid airport to my place!!!

you know you (and your friends) are incredibly bored at work when:
you somehow managed to catch up with the people (over msn of cos) whom you haven't spoken to in some time.
you and your fellow bored-at-work-friends compete (once again, over msn) to see who are doing the most redundant tasks at work (blogging, watching movies, buying takeout for the rest of the company, stuffing letters into envelops, editing photos...).
and after having that competition, you go on to compare your favourite brand (and flavour) of potato chips.
following which, you start talking about the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you (courtesy of mei) which then leads on to listing your top ten phobias.
and may i add that i now have heaps of books i want to read because i spent the whole of yesterday morning reading reviews and excerpts.
ugh! so bored!

ok just to clarify, especially since many are wondering who my previous entry is directed to.
i'd be leaving melbourne. for good (for now). getting back there on the 26th of aug to pack up and clear out and to also say my goodbyes (which i dread), then leaving for singapore on the 31st.
so to the people in singapore: don't do anything over the 30-31st weekend without me!
and to the people in melbourne: you have exactly 6 days to bid me farewell. bookings are based on first come first serve, so quick book me!

you know you have been in australia too long when you grab takeaway breakfast before work and instead of the warm breadrolls and exotic coffee (e.g. hazelnut latte) you were visualising and dreaming of, you find yourself squinting at asian food - carrot cake, curry puffs and the likes. (i ended up ordering a sandwich and horrible horrible mocha which was 3/4 foam, 1/4 coffee flavoured water.)
i am experiencing culture shock.
where am i ever gonna find the courage to do all the things one has to do when it comes to leaving a country for good?

im moving office next week! hence this week is declared as e packing week. haha.. moving jus a street across.. into client's building. i kinda hate my new seat, cos my screen is quite visible as it is facing e corridor where my team mates and some other ppl will frequent :( BUT i think there wun be many ppl walking around my area bah...
one of e teams has rolled off e project, and my supervisor ask my colleague n me to check out the team's cabinets and area to see if there are things to be cleared. we went, and its amazing. lots of fun and unusual stuffs found! (apart from e rubbish and tons of trees that they have killed). btw, tt team onli has got like 4 ppl n they all rolled off at least 4 months ago!
took pics of a few stuffs b4 they were thrown away (pics below! =D ) n there were still a lot tt i din take pics of.. stuffs like..
- 3 shawls
- 1 zip jacket
- 1 packet of expired chrysanthemum teabags (one big packet, not sachets)
- 4 kinds of high class different tea packets (cant be bothered to find out if its expired already.. jus threw everything away.. one of the flavours was rose herbal tea)
- 4 themal cups/flask
- 1 unopened and overdue reminded bill adderssed to a person who left e project at least a year ago
- 2 months of season parking letters addressed to a person who left e project at least 2 yrs ago
- 1 packet of 美珍香 red packets
- 4 boxes of new pencils: 12 in each box, 4 normal staples, 1 big staple, dozens of highlighters.... etc. (wah lao, more than e stationary tt my team of 8 has lar. needless to say, we jus koup-ed them. so now we have ALOT of stationary! muahaha)

but if i don't see a future in australia, then why is the thought of leaving giving me all these panic attacks?

Hui:
made cookies for augus' bday! haha.. im not so pro la.. i actually bought those pre-mix one. i have not baked since sec 4 lor.. so cant afford to take risk n screw up on e eve of augus' bday. so on friday, i went to ber's house n started baking! wah lucky ber, mei and ber's mum were around man.. else sure die (i think). hahaha.. all e while i was baking, ber n mei jus sat in e kitchen n jus laffed at me. not tt i screw up or anything la.. they said i was funny o_O wah.. one of e few times i am actually funny-funny eh? :P kelen joined us onli when i jus finished baking e last batch (around 1030 i think?) after cleaning up and everything, sent an mms to ting of e cookies i made! haha..
anyway, ber was so nice! he sent me to augus' place to deliver e cookies to him :) thanks ber! :D cos i want to go there at 12 n surprise him. hehe. mei drove ber's car n sent herself home... (haha ya i noe sounds weird/funny). she didnt join us for e journey/car ride to augus' place as she had to go back to e office at 3am (poor her). n then, kelen took over e steering wheel n drove to yishun where he would drop me at augus house n then he n ber would go to the v nice chomp pang nasi lemak for dinner. wah piang eh, he's one scary driver. lucky we din get you-tubed :P
and anyways... i managed to reach augus' house jus a min b4 midnight. he din look surprised leh, though he said he was. HAHA.. i think i aso like tt (?). he said cookies are nice. hmmm.. i think i trust his words la.. cos pre-mix dough nv goes wrong! muahaha.. anyway i followed e instructions closely lor.. plus got supervision from ber, mei n ber's mum. so yea. i trust him. e cookies are nice! hahaha
